Trying to be comfortable

I didn't quite like the result, but...

Choosing what to wear on the week

I don't know if you are like that but, as for me, I prefer to choose what to wear in advance. If I leave it to decide in the morning before I go to work, it won't work. I'll either just wear anything, or go for a combination that I'll regret afterwards. Besides having a fashion blog, another thing that I think helps me dress a little better is choosing my clothes in advance. If I can do it with time, trying different outfits, even better. That's what I did this afternoon. Here's part of the result... and what I'll probably be wearing the next couple of days:

Have a nice week! xoxo

The advantage(s) of blogging

I think it can be a register, a memory. I look back in time and it makes me remember of what my life was like some years ago.
More than that, what I noticed is that posting my outfits makes me pay more attention to what I wear - and, consequently, makes me more stylish and original. Now, not blogging for some months, I realise that I do have to improve on that. I used to have better ideas. Cheers.

Not organised yet, but...

coming to say hi.

I'm going to wear a red belt with this dress the next time.

Dress: H&M. All the rest: don't remember :-(

A little about myself

I'm a teacher. I get home by mid-afternoon, ultra tired, when I have to prepare my classes and clean my apartment, do laundry and such. I sometimes feel I should go out more and, also, exercise on a regular basis.

But my life gets busier during the summer: that's when I work more, that's when I don't feel like dressing up, that's when the warm weather makes me feel lazy (it should be the opposite, I know, but I'm more of a winter gal).

Now, good, the fall is coming, and let's see what I can do. Also, I got a nice camera. I still don't have the tripod, though (unbelievable). But, no, I haven't given up on having a blog. Why is it so hard for me? Writing is not a problem. Maybe the design is. The pictures. But is it just me, or do you girls also need to spend a long time working on your blogs until they get close to what you had imagined? Mine never gets to please me enough.

It still does not feel like Spring

... but I don't mind it!

Yellow has been my favourite colour

I've been trying to add some yellow to brighten up rainy and cloudy days...

Comfy moment

You know when you try on something different, but your main goal is to feel comfortable? There you go. We didn't have snow for some days, so I didn't have to wear my snow boots... yay

Real life: what I use on my skin

Ok, I am a normal person. I am not going to show off. I go for quality but mainly for reasonable prices, so what you'll find here are drugstore products.

For make-up removers, I love this one by Clean&Clear. It works well and I'm satisfied with it.

However, I do not like this one by Maybelline. I am still using it, but definitely won't buy again. It causes irritation and does not it do its job.

I've been using this one by Biotherm. It was a free sample but I'm thinking of buying it.

Speaking of free samples, I have a some more by Biotherm. I love Biotherm. This toning lotion works wonderfully and leaves my skin pretty smooth.

I also use this hydrating water by Laura Mercier. It's good, but I'm not sure I'll buy it again. It's ok, but not that special.

As for these other Biotherm free samples, I recommend the tonifying exfoliating cleansing gel and the reversive anti-aging serum (wonderful!) but not the deep hydration replenishing gel.

I've been using Skin Vivo for a while, but I have the impression my skin got kind of tired of it, so I'll stop for a while. But it's a good product.

I am very satisfied with this Clinique moisture surge.

L'Oréal Revitalift is another product I've been using for a while, so it probably means I like it, but I don't use it everyday. I alternate it with other products.

I got these two samples of Creation's Garden with a magazine, and they are amazing in all senses! Will definitely buy them.

Another Clean&Clear product that works pretty well for me is this facial scrub. It works just as well as the one by Creation's Garden and the Biotherm mentioned above. Love it!

I recently got back to using Nivea again, and am very happy with it. That's what works for me before I go to bed, and is the only one that won't make my skin feel dry when I wake up after these long winter nights.

And you? What do you use on your skin?
Thank you very much and have a nice Monday <3>

My second time buying at She Inside

So I finally got to wear this dress I got from She Inside that I had loved so much on the website. It's super nice in person as well, but I could've ordered a medium instead of a large (decided to go for the large because a couple of girls had mentioned it ran small). I paired it with leggings, over-the-knee boots (yes, by Ardene!), a necklace with an Eiffel Tower charm and a handbag (Guess).

It's the second time I bought something from She Inside, and I think it works pretty well. I didn't like to buy clothes online, but I haven't been disappointed so far. Do you have any experiences to share? It's always good to know what works and what doesn't.
I know those aren't the best pictures in the universe, but I am not a professional photographer.

Happy Friday, everyone!

P.S. Some time later, I did get rid of this dress. The sizing wasn't appropriate. It was, at the same time, too petite and too large, if you know what I mean. The arms were too short and it made me feel fat, not only because I might've been fat (LOL), but also because of the size and the ruffles. I loved it when I got it, wore it enough times to justify the amount of money I spent on it, and donated it. I hope the person who got it is enjoying the dress more than my packed closet was.

Tiger look

Thanks for your comments, ladies!
Today it was unbelievably hot: the hottest day of 2014! Yay! (I don't know why I'm celebrating, 'cause I like it when it's cold). Anyways, I ended up wearing short sleeves! It was 9 degrees outside. I was going to wear something else, then changed my mind before leaving for work. I usually like to decide my next-day outfit before going to bed, so that I don't spend too much time on that the next morning. That's not what happened today, and I picked something simple and comfortable. And you, do you like to decide your looks in advance as well?

Another old, old dress...

Whenever I wear this dress, I feel kinda fat, but people seem to like it (maybe people like to see me fat; go figure!). For this reason, I stopped wearing it for a while. It has resuscitated from my closet in the last few years, though, and I choose it as a part of my daily look about once a month.

What about you? Do you keep old clothes in your closet, or get rid of them? And how often do you repeat the same outfits?

Thank you for visiting!

It's an old, old dress

Did you like it? Well, I myself am not sure. It's a pretty comfortable dress, but it sometimes makes me feel old and fat. OMG, I should get rid of something that makes me feel old and fat. I'll try it one more time, maybe...
This morning I actually wore it with a pair of brown boots. But they are too dirty to photograph. I was thinking... I like to photograph what I actually wear. It helps me when I don't know what to wear, or when a new season comes and I don't remember my clothes *grin*. This blog helps me get some inspiration... from myself. I hope it can help someone else out there, too.

Thank you for visiting!

Union Jack

I love this Union Jack sweater that I got from She Inside. The only problem is that it calls too much attention: everybody likes it, comments on it... and remembers it! So if I wear it too often it seems like I don't have anything else to wear, if you know what I mean.

Today I decided to wear it with these red combat boots. I'm not sure whether I really liked it or not. I don't know if you can see it, but I'm wearing legwarmers as well, because I think the boots are a bit too loose--and my legs, too thin (only my legs, though).

Also, I don't know who's going to realise it, but the sweater looks a little wet. Real life: I was brushing my teeth or something like that before going to work.

Originally, I wasn't going to wear the skirt, but I decided to put on one more layer because of the cold. What a long winter, eh?

Take care,

ღ Pat

Green and blue

And this is one of my favorite skirts, because I love the mix of green with blue.

Hearts and flowers

As you can see, I really like this top. It's comfortable, pretty, and goes with everything. I try not to repeat it constantly, but it's one of these pieces I will always pick when I am not sure what to wear.

Velvet skirt

This skirt belonged to my mom - and I love it. Clothes are not about brands - they're rather about how we feel when we're wearing them.

I'm going to wear a different skirt everyday this week.
I haven't posted for a while... be patient. I'm still feeling lost, and I don't know what's wrong with my camera, but there's definitely something wrong with it. I hope to make better quality photos along the way.
