Monday

I swear it's blue!

This blue sweater was bought at a supersale at H&M. And I'm still being lazy and extremely simple in my outfits...

I love this scarf. They make the composition look lighter, even funnier or happier. The bag is really old, and I'm even thinking that I should get rid of it. I rarely wear it, and it's not really "in" anymore. One good thing about having a "style blog" is that you start using pieces of clothes, jewelry and accessories which you would never pick for a normal day, so you end up enjoying the options you have a little further.

P.S. After a year, however, I ended up donating this sweater. After being washed a few times, it just got too loose and full of fuzz balls (you get what you pay for, right? I'm not complaining... just accepting - after all, it was my choice :-). But, besides, I've been tired of everything that has a purple or violet colour or detail on it, and finally accepted that the sweater was not blue: it was rather purple. I am so crazy, aren't I? But no, I haven't gotten rid of it just because of the colour. It no longer looked pretty or neat. I tried to wear it as pajamas (yes, crazy!) a couple of times, but it didn't work that well and I thought it wasn't necessary: if I want pajamas, I should really get pajamas instead of wearing old clothes. I still do this king of thing sometimes, I confess ;-)

Sunday

Winter in Québec City

Sometimes you show nothing but your boots, (part of) your pants, gloves, a coat, a scarf, a toque, earmuffs, and a bag - and that's a lot! So I went for a colourful touristic bag (large enough to accommodate what I had to carry while exploring the town), legwarmers with pompons, black and white mittens and a kind of a tiger-stamped pattern in black and grey.

P.S. I was pretty sad during this trip when I ripped my coat on an aged table at a restaurant. I love this coat, which makes me feel warmer than no other because it has two layers on the top - similar to a vest, maybe -, and the perfect length. It was an incredible hard task trying to find something to replace it. I got three coats, returned one, and still wasn't satisfied. Then I finally decided to get it repaired: I bought a small Canadian flag that was sewn on the arm, and voilà. I've got to show this here someday. Now it looks like a brand or a "proudly Canadian" thing. I still wear one of the coats I got (because it's not as warm as this one and and it has a hood, which this one doesn't, and both of them have advantages depending on the day). As for the second one, I didn't wear it last Winter, because it wasn't cold enough in Toronto, and it's heavy. All in all, I still prefer my old one, the first one I got in Canada, for an extremely low price but extremely suitable as well.

Tuesday

Tiger look

Thanks for your comments, ladies!
Today it was unbelievably hot: the hottest day of 2014! Yay! (I don't know why I'm celebrating, 'cause I like it when it's cold). Anyways, I ended up wearing short sleeves! It was 9 degrees outside. I was going to wear something else, then changed my mind before leaving for work. I usually like to decide my next-day outfit before going to bed, so that I don't spend too much time on that the next morning. That's not what happened today, and I picked something simple and comfortable. And you, do you like to decide your looks in advance as well?

Cheers!

Saturday

When we don't feel like it...

Considering we're in Januay, today was a pretty warm day in Toronto: the temperatures reached 12ºC! I have to confess I was feeling lazy and didn't feel like going out, but I had to. It's like the world is calling and you may regret it if you stay at home. Needless to say I was not inspired to choose an outfit, so I picked a black dress, black boots, a brown cardigan... but I felt I needed something happier and brighter: why not a scarf? Well, I'm not the most stylish woman in the planet but it turned out ok. I was also wearing a Fedora hat, but ended up putting it away due to the wind.

The picture was not taken for the blog... it's just a place I like and wanted to register - on Yonge, south of Eglinton (for the ones who are familiar with Toronto).

Wednesday

Montréal... encore !

What do I like about this look? The colours!

Sunday

Christmas in Montreal

With hubby having to work 2 or 3 days in Montreal, I packed and joined him for a very nice Christmas trip. It was my second time in Montreal and, despite the cold, I had a much better impression of the people and the city itself. We ate a lot at local places and I could speak some French + do some shopping. I found out that Serge Henri, Rodízio Brasil, Paris Crêpes, Firegrill and Guido & Angelina are great places to eat, that the tradicional B-Barn has a terrible service, and that Boris Bistrô has good food and good service but the environment is a little too noisy. (Brasserie t!, recommended by a friend, was closed for the holidays.)

Delicious crêpes and poutines...

I got super happy with my new yellow coat, which I got at Old Navy. The bag is from Guess. As for the other items... sorry; can't remember :-(

Happy 2013!

Friday

More of (almost) the same

I don't usually do this, but when I bought last post's dress, I bought a similar one as well (with a different pattern). Just because I loved it and paid such a good price on it (20 bucks; what do you think?).

I'm wearing a brown jacket and a dark pashmina scarf, too. I acknowledge the fact that it's hard to identify the colours :(

Wednesday

Red is my favorite colour

Gray is my favorite color/ I felt so symbolic yesterday/ If I knew Picasso, I would buy myself a gray guitar and play

OMG. I don't have an iPhone. I'll never be part of a fashion bloggers' team if I don't have an iPhone. Listen, I don't even have a smartphone. Am I lost in this world?

I've been thinking of getting an iPhone, but what really bothers me is the monthly contract, though. I don't wanna be attached to a long-term monthly plan I don't need (I currently spend less than 10 dollars a month on cell phone bills), and instead of buying an iPhone, shouldn't I buy a good camera?

Mr. Jones and me...

Friday

Back to blogging

Summer, work, lack of time, lack of a decent camera, lack of patience... I don't know what that was. But here I am, looking for some social contact and inspiration. Once a blogger, always a blogger.

Monday

Stripes

I really like stripes, and I've been enjoying to mix them with polkadots. As you can see now, the top I wore here is more of a tunic dress. I got it at Fairweather. They have great deals - you just have to know what to buy.

Bag is from Lug (this one).

Saturday

More plaid

Mixed patterns, here we go! I love playing with this <3 br="br">

Monday

Chilly

I don't care about the weather getting cold, but I really don't like such amount of rain.
(What I should really care about is my hair. Urgent hydration needed.)

Thursday

Cozy Winter

Enjoying my last days of vacation before returning to Toronto.
